Job title: Principal Cloud Data Warehouse Analyst-Financial Systems

Duration: Long-term contract

Location: Dublin CA

Job Description:

Partner with Business stakeholders in Finance & Accounting to understand their business problems and provide best-in-class analytics solutions by creating data-marts and reports
Run meeting with IT and Finance teams with clear agenda and outcomes
Analyze the data, highlight and fix data quality issues, show the art-of-possible on both data analysis and visualization to business
Hands-on analysis of business data using SQL, building Tableau visualizations and communicating the analysis in an impactful manner to the business teams and executives
Understand the data from the source systems and be able to transform it into data-marts in Snowflake using complex SQL transformation
Clearly communicate progress, dependencies, risks, issues, key metrics to business and IT leadership
Documentation of functional and detail technical design as well as data dictionary and lineage
Creating forums to train and build a Tableau community across the enterprise

Requirements

Excellent Communication Skills
Strong understanding of key metrics and data analysis delivered for finance and accounting. In-depth understanding of GL, AP, AR and Financial planning data
5-7 years of experience in data analysis using complex SQL visualization tools like Tableau
Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts
Strong business acumen & demonstrated aptitude for analytics that drive action and business decisions
2-3 years of Hands-on experience in using Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse
Strong troubleshooting skills - identifying data issues and anomalies during the analysis
Experience working with business to build Spend Analytics, Revenue metrics, Financial planning and other core Enterprise Financial reports
Knowledge of financial process like Month-end/Qtr-end close, financial planning, budgeting etc.
Knowledge of Enterprise Business Applications – Oracle ERP/Fusion, Netsuite Financials, Salesforce etc.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, business analytics
