Job title: Pricing Specialist

Reports to: Pricing & Calculations Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
1. Summary:
The Pricing Specialist is part of the Sales and Marketing team and his/her expertise and knowledge will make him essential in the function that is needed most at the time, to be decided by the Director in that field.
2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
It is responsible for the activities related (but not limited to) the following activities:
• Calculations and other preparations for additional businesses
• Answering Requests for quotations RFQ from potential customers
• Preparing all relevant data and presentations for new business
• Supporting in representation of the company at sales negotiations
• Supporting Major planning for new businesses / new models or new processes within existing businesses
• Development and be part of presentations of customer specific solutions.
• Preparation of time studies, costing studies and general project calculations (feasibility & economic feasibility).
• Planning of the implementation/ramp-up of new projects. Be part of cross-functional project teams for this purpose.
• preparation of project-documentation.
• Project deadline, milestone and budget tracking with related management and steering committee reporting.
• Adherence to BLG Quality Management Systems with regard to Logistics Planning Activities.
• Strong automotive and/or manufacturing experience required.
3. Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supports Manager or Director in managing project teams for specific tasks

5. Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management (or equivalent related study or experience).
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, processes, correspondence, and memos in the English languages. Ability to write complex correspondence and document complex processes in the English language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in the English Language.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Expert knowledge of financial and logistics-related mathematical functions. Individual must understand and have knowledge to able to calculate TMU’s using the Measure Time Method.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expert knowledge of CAD programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint. Intermediate knowledge of computer-based project management tools is required The individual must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and be capable of understanding and eventually having a thorough knowledge of BLGs Excel-based calculation tools.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to interpret data and recognize and document trends. Ability to utilize analytical tools and common sense understanding to implement problem solving and improvement measures.
6. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Certification relating to logistics and quality management are advantageous but not required. (e.g. CSCMP, Six-Sigma, ISO, etc.)
7. Other Qualifications:
