This is a part-time, contracted position that will eventually transition into a staff role.

Position Title

President

POSITION SUMMARY

The President is responsible for developing, planning, directing and controlling broad activities needed to ensure institutional success. The President strategically drives the organizational objectives in coordination with the Chancellor to ensure financial and educational success through short- and long-range planning and action. The President is responsible for creating an environment that engages staff, creates quality education and administrative processes, broad growth, and predictable financial performance.

Fees for Service: President agrees to serve for $1,000 until fall tuition comes in from this recruiting season. After tuition has been collected (approximately October 2023), Provost will begin receiving payment in the amount of $55,000/year (approximately October 2023), with expectations as role, duties, and students increase so will salary. We are a start-up, each of the leadership positions pay approximately 1,00 per month in a consultancy role until the Fall term.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Direction and Leadership

 

  • Strategically lead the Dale Kietzman University (Murray, UT), Dale Kietzman School of Theology (Pasadena, CA), and Institut Superior Dale Kietzman (Cameroon, Africa) towards a unified vision.
  • Develop and maintain the institutional budget.
  • Lead the development and implementation of short- and long-range plans to achieve the institution's goals and objectives.
  • Own the organization development process and, as such, ensures that performance planning, execution and coaching, assessment of potential, performance evaluation, and related development plans are in place for all employees.
  • Provide leadership to the institutional programs, assigned staff, and adjunct and full-time faculty that teach in the programs.
  • Ensure personnel provide friendly, effective service to external and internal customers.
  • Develop management reports and studies (e.g., retention patterns, student satisfaction, and faculty performance).
  • Provide leadership for improvements based on assessment results, etc.
  • Attend University events as appropriate.
  • Promote the University at public functions.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned.

Compliance and Accreditation

 

  • Develops a high-level understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements for States and Countries of operation as well as with TRACS accreditation process, initially.
  • Stays abreast of key regulatory, accreditation, legal and legislative developments and assure compliance at all times.
  • Establish a quality management culture with very clear expectations.
  • Oversees institutional assessments and internal audits and compliance within all areas and functions. Ensure reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that all activities within the school are conducted in an ethical and fully professional.

Growth and Development

  • Develop a short- and long-term fundraising plan.
  • Direct the business development process to increase market share for the institution.
  • Oversee development and management of the budget with focus on achieving revenue goals and minimizing expenses.
  • Collaborate with marketing, recruitment, and retention efforts related to academic initiatives.
  • Lead short- and long-term enrollment initiatives.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned.

 

Academic Oversight

  • Ensure academic programs are quality, designed for learners, and integrate the Christian/biblical worldview
  • Recruit academically and experientially qualified adjunct faculty for the programs as needed.
  • Conduct orientation for new faculty and development opportunities for current faculty.
  • Supervise the scheduling of cohorts, scheduling of faculty, arranging for suitable classroom space, and other student support services.
  • Lead startup of new education sites and academic programs.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

According to Dale Kietzman University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the DKU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education:

· Master’s degree required, Doctoral degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational abilities
  • Experience in higher education leadership including:
  • student recruitment (preferably in non-traditional education modes)
  • accreditation/regulatory/compliance
  • strategic leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in creating a team-oriented culture.
  • Understands strategic concepts; develops and influences distinctive and competitive strategies; aligns the organization to support priorities of the institutional plan, embrace change, and deliver results.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to customer service with a continuous focus on improvement.
  • Self-starter, ability to work productively with minimal oversight

WORK RELATIONSHIPS

 

Reports to: AACL/DKU Board

 

Internal Relationships: DKU Academics, Recruiting, Student Services, Campus Leaders

 

External Relationships: All external student, constituent, alumni, prospective faculty, regulatory relationships, and other institutions of higher learning, and potential employers of alumni.
