The Assistant Preschool Director serves the Preschool by helping achieve its mission, vision, educational philosophy and related goals and objectives; setting an example of an exceptional professional educator for all students and staff; promotes an educational climate that fosters discipleship by leading spiritually. Provides oversight and support for the Preschool Site Directors (Fontana/Upland). Assists the Preschool Administrator with planning, curriculum, accreditation tasks and in the day-to-day administration of the Preschool, but with primary emphasis on assigned duties. This position leads with a servants heart and has passion for Christian education. They must assist in articulating, promoting, and defending to all stakeholders the implementation of WOLCSs Mission and Vision. They may assist with institutional advancement and development in the areas of fundraising, student recruitment / marketing, and public relations. The chief responsibility is to assist in leading the personnel in delivering an excellent education to the K-8th grade consistent with the mission, vision and core values of the church and school. This is a full time position; 40 hours/week. Requirements / Qualifications Requirements / QualificationsMinimum of three years classroom experience AND one year administrative experience; AND one of the following: AA in Child Development or ECE OR Child Development Site Supervisor Permit OR BA in Child Development or ECE OR Coursework only (including Administrative/Staff and Health and Safety) AND 2 years administrative experience. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook. Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities. Current CPR and First Aid Training. Current physical with a TB test. Ability to life/carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to obtain live scan fingerprint and child abuse index clearance by the Department of Justice. Aspire to be a Christian role model in accordance with 1 Timothy, chapter 3.
