Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to lead our dental practice as a Dental Practice Administrator. As the Practice Administrator, you will oversee all administrative and operational aspects of the dental office to ensure efficient and effective practice management.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership and direction to the dental office staff, including administrative personnel, dental assistants, and hygienists, to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

2. Develop and implement office policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize workflow, enhance productivity, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

3. Manage day-to-day operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, collections, and inventory management, to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

4. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track practice performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve practice goals.

5. Oversee human resources functions, including recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management of dental office staff, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

6. Coordinate marketing and promotional activities to attract new patients and retain existing patients, including developing marketing materials, managing online presence, and organizing community outreach events.

7. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner to ensure a positive patient experience.

8. Manage relationships with patients, and manage dental provider schedules.

9. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and other applicable laws and regulations governing healthcare privacy, security, and patient confidentiality.

10. Stay abreast of accounts receivable, and input insurance payments.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field required; master's degree or professional certification preferred.

2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dental practice management or healthcare administration, with demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.

3. Strong understanding of dental office operations, including scheduling, billing, insurance, and regulatory compliance.

4. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, providers, and external stakeholders.

6. Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office suite.

7. Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS regulations.

8. Ability to lead and motivate a team, foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, and promote a positive work environment.

9. Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and manage practice finances effectively.

10. Commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
