Job Summary:
Providing leadership of operations, maintenance, sanitation, and safety departments to achieve plant performance expectations.
Job Duties:Leadership Performance:
- Oversees all aspects of human capital planning & management for direct groups, including goal setting, improvement targets for KPI's, salary planning, performance management.
- Attract, hire, develop direct reports and create strong succession plans.
- Be an engaged leader with all plant personnel.
- Have an active seat at the table as it relates to interviewing, hiring, and resolving employee relation issues.
- Works with production leaders to ensure our GMP's are being executed throughout the facility.
- Accountable to short-and long-term strategies as well as customer expectations.
- Drives production, assesses capacity, and knows how to flex and execute as required.
- Manage and report up on KPI's, this includes being analytical and applying problem-solving skills when the data is showing discrepancies. There will be a heavy focus on improving line efficiencies and reducing scrap.
- Leads and drives plant safety culture and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
- Prioritize safety over production and allow employees avenues to report concerns.
- Follow all FDA and OSHA policies.
- Procurement, products, and production processes
- Knowledge and experience with SAP
- Thorough understanding of food safety and quality
- Prioritizing work based on short- and long-term objectives
- Analyzing and presenting data to multiple levels of the organization
- Well-developed project management skills
- Work in a fast-paced environment, while being able to make sound decisions.
- Respond to common inquiries and complaints for customers, regulatory agencies, employees and members of the business community.
- Exude confidence as a strong leader but also be approachable by all levels of the plant in order to build and establish trust. Utilize influencing skills across functions as well as foster a collaborative environment.
- This is a plant environment; you will be exposed to machines, fumes, airborne particles, vibration and noise. PPE is required while you are present on the production floor.
- Ability to walk the production floor, which could include climbing stairs and other areas off of the ground.
- Four-year college degree in business or related field required. Career progression with some continuing education completed will be considered.
- Seven (7) - Ten (10) years leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Bakery experience a plus.
- Experience in a non-union and union environment
- Experience with cost control, food quality and safety.
