SUMMARY
As the Plant Manager you will lead all day-to-day operations of our Sebastopol production facility to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective execution of the production plan. The Plant Manager is directly or indirectly responsible for all production, maintenance, and warehouse employees in the Sebastopol facility across multiple manufacturing shifts. They will lead their team to assure employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, expenses, and production objectives are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven experience leading large teams within a food or dietary supplement manufacturing environment and has the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understand and support the organization's purpose, vision and core values; frequently refer to them and incorporate them into daily activities.
- Ensure safety of all team members and contractors working within manufacturing facility. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of all company-wide safety programs, SOP’s, hazard elimination, and enforcement of all safety rules.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards and programs, including supporting audits and any other regulatory activities
- Manage, lead, and develop a leadership team of managers and supervisors across multiple manufacturing shifts, implementing best practices and continuous improvement to achieve organizational objectives.
- Actively participate in the overall employee experience of all plant employees (which includes hiring, performance management, employee coaching, conflict resolution, compensation, and career pathing)
- Execute, monitor and adjust the weekly production schedule to assure delivery of production targets. Work cross-functionally with planning, procurement, human resources, and quality to assure clear prioritization and organizational alignment.
- Drive a plant-wide regular review cadence of key performance indicators with a focus on continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Ensure that warehouse inventories are accurate and supported by effective transactional management and that warehousing space is used efficiently and in a manner that supports safe and productive activities.
- Develop and manage annual expense and capital budgets
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities listed above.

- Directly manage a team of managers and supervisors across multiple production shifts
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, both written and oral
- Intermediate or advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), including working knowledge of ERP systems
- 5 years of manufacturing leadership in a Food or Dietary supplement plant.
- Experience implementing new processes and implementing best practices.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles or similar continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the relevant field.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Pay Range: $126,000 - $147,000 annually
