What You'll Do
The Plant Engineer plans, organizes, and directs engineering functions to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines. This position will be involved in all aspects of process engineering and must be willing to work collaboratively to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. The Plant Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining all infrastructure of the buildings and utilities.

What You'll Do
The Plant Engineer plans, organizes, and directs engineering functions to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines. The Plant Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining all infrastructure of the buildings and utilities.
- Upholds a high need for safety and environmental compliance in the work environment
- Works closely with maintenance personnel and external maintenance contractors to maximize quality and production
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Facilitates the establishment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and sets up Dashboards to monitor and report performance
- Provides mentoring and training to staff and management
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards
- Works closely with Operating and Maintenance personnel to schedule and supervise maintenance and capital work
- Participates in the development and implementation of programs to ensure equipment availability meets or exceeds established maintenance related targets
- Utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders, purchase requisitions, weekly schedules, PMs, and updating the equipment database
What You'll Need
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and have 3 years of work experience
- Be proficient in AutoCAD
- Have a strong understanding of process safety concepts and issues
- Possess the ability to independently create functional and cost-effective designs that meet complex requirements
- Have experience with MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment
