Pickleball Instructor

Looking for someone passionate about growing the sport of pickleball. Beginner and skilled classes available.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Youth Sports Director the Pickleball Instructor is responsible for assisting and leading the Pickleball program to adults or families.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Arrives beforehand to set up equipment and cleans up equipment before leaving.
2. Assists with the Youth Sports Director to run through the day’s lesson plan and expectations before the program begins.
3. Teaches curriculum for beginner classes and skills classes.
4. Communicates appropriately with parents/participants and reports any problems or concerns to Youth Sports Director.
5. Maintains the safety of all participants.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum 18 years of age.
2. Previous participation in or knowledge of Pickleball preferred. Ability to teach beginners to intermediate levels.
3. Experience with a diverse population.
4. Strong communication and team working skills.
5. Ability to interact with various age groups.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
2. Stand, run, kick, throw, bend, and catch.
3. Noise level is usually moderate.
