Job Description
We are excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at a school near Delbarton, West Virginia. This is a full-time position for the 2023-24 school year, providing an excellent chance to make a lasting impact on the well-being and development of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess students' motor skills, strength, range of motion, and functional abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and students' goals
- Providing direct physical therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, interventions, and adaptations
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and physical success
- Participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and preparing progress reports
- Staying up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of physical therapy in an educational setting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid West Virginia state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Prior experience working with school-aged children in a physical therapy setting
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and therapy techniques specific to pediatric physical therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize responsibilities
- Familiarity with IEP processes and regulations
