Job description

- Lead the development effort of advance photonic devices and systems, feeding into Apple product roadmap. - Develop multi-physics model for numerical optimization of advanced structures. - HW prototyping and proof-of-concept validation by building lab set-ups. - Regular presentation to internal x-functional team and senior management from NPI phase to mass production. - Contribute to core technology IP development.

Request

Demonstrated work experience in one or few of the following areas: laser, optics, device physics, metastructures.
Proficiency in optical simulation with commercially available simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical FDTD, Zemax, LightTools, Sentaurus, etc.) and/or customed solutions based on general programming languages (e.g., Python, Matlab or C).
Demonstrated capability to collaborate with international teams and suppliers.
Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
A strong team player, and innovative thinker.
Experience designing lasers or silicon photonics is a big plus.
Experience working with foundry is a plus.
Experience with inverse design is a plus.
