Under the direction of laboratory leadership, the Phlebotomist obtains accurate and reliable blood and body fluid specimens from properly identified adult and/or pediatric patients. Identifies phlebotomy difficulties, defines appropriate solutions and coordinates resources. Maintains outstanding relationships with client and technical staff. The phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining, preparing and processing specimens such as blood, urine, sputum, stool and various cultures by logging, spinning, and distributing to laboratory testing areas. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.
$1,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a phlebotomy program administered by an accredited postsecondary school or college or a phlebotomy training program or equivalent education/ experience
- Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire
- 6 months of Lab experience, or completion of a phlebotomy program administered by an accredited postsecondary school or college, or a phlebotomy training program

About the Team
Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care. Collectively, our medical groups and affiliate practices are the third largest group in the country with over 11,000 providers, 900 clinics and 30,000 caregivers.
