Pharmacy Technician - Compensation

• The pay for this position is $19.12 / per Hour Starting
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician - Highlights

· 2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs 2:15pm-11:15pm | Fri 2-8pm (or Sun 7:30am-12:30pm)

· Position is Onsite in Fairfield, NJ

Pharmacy Technician - Responsibilities

• Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with the specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
• Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
• Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices.
• Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant (packer) as needed.
• Responsible for cleaning for all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas.
• Able to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards.
• Knows drug names and basic pharmacology knowledge.
• Understands medical terminology utilized in a Pharmacy.
• Able to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders.
• Able to perform Ops Assistant (packer) responsibilities.

Pharmacy Technician - PBM Requirements

Qualifications Required

-1+ year related experience in a pharmacy, PBM, or insurance position

-1+ years of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications :

- Pharmacy Technician Experience

***NJ PHARMACY TECH LICENSE REQUIRED***

- Previous experience with business-to-business, interdepartmental, or customer interactions

- Retail Pharmacy help desk experience

- Experience with SQL or Access
