The Pharmacy Director is tasked with formulating healthcare strategies to drive efficiency and accuracy in the department. The individual in this role should serve as a reliable subject matter expert and resource to the organization.

The individual in this role should serve as a reliable subject matter expert and resource to the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or PharmD and 6 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist
- Minimum of five 5 years experience working with managed care and pharmacy benefit management
- Must be registered and in good standing with the Florida Department of Health, Florida Board of Pharmacy
- Experience with Managed Care Organizations preferred or understanding of managed care pharmaceutical operations and benefits
- Knowledgeable in managed Medicare and Medicaid pharmaceutical benefits and operations
- Thorough understanding of HEDIS and pharmacy-related quality metrics
- Excellent expertise in pharmacy claims data and financial data
- Strong knowledge of electronic medical record systems
- Provides guidance and recommendations as related to, medical center pharmacy coordinators, network pharmacies, medical centers/clinics, PBM, PCPs and Health Plans Part D program
- Conducts data analysis to proactively identify quality and cost performance improvement opportunities
- Develops effective strategies targeted to enhance provider pharmacy utilization performance, cost and quality measures
- Develops and distributes educational materials for best practices and opportunities for cost management and improvement in pharmaceutical
- Ensures that reporting and data submissions are submitted correctly and within predetermined timelines, including submissions made to governing agencies.
- Applies medical claim and prescription data to produce recommendations for Medication Therapy Management Program (MTMP).
- Collaborates with providers or members, as needed, in utilizing Plan formularies to guide appropriate medication recommendations.
- Develops strong working relationships with providers and communicates drug utilization reviews and clinical pharmacy programs
- Leads immunization campaigns, processes and purchasing
- Maintains current knowledge of pharmacy industry
- Adheres to company policies and procedures including all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
