About Us
The Movement Lab is a one-on-one personal training and strength studio located near Downtown Raleigh. We prioritize client safety, coach proper biomechanics, and train total body movements. We believe everyone can be strong and that learning the skills of strength can change our clients’ lives. Our approach is unique and proven to work for clients of all fitness levels.
Our Training Principles
1. Consistency beats intensity. Consistency is the key ingredient to lasting success and the effects compound over time.
2. The details matter. We incorporate the often overlooked concepts of biomechanics, tension, position and breathing into every aspect of our training.
3. Strength training is a practice, not simply a “workout”. Intentional work provides better results than mindless effort. Strength is a skill and mastery is the goal.
4. Training should give more than it takes. We want you to feel better when you leave our gym than when you arrived. Pain, discomfort, or excessive soreness are warning signs to slow down and pay attention. Safety is first.
5. The minimum effective dose; why training less is more. Our clients train with us to improve their lives outside of the gym. All of our programs are designed to most effectively and efficiently help our clients arrive at their goals.
