Job Description
As a Performance Testing Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining sanity of the performance testing environment, perform level-1 analysis to detect performance bottlenecks and implement automation to improve existing load generation tools.

• Participate in daily execution in performance testing based on shift needs. Successful candidate will have know-how of Unix/Linux systems.
• Participate in initial triage of application code (in Java) to point the issue. Successful candidate will have know-how of core Java. It is must to have Java development background.
• Participate in initial triage of infrastructure issue(s) to point the issue. This could also mean to coordinate by hosting triage call(s)/meeting(s) involving various SME’s.
• Maintain Jmeter scripts developed by application support and report in case of modification, corrections, and updates. Making updates may fall under environment person responsibility.
• Systems are Unix/Linux and Azure hosted. Hence, successful candidate must have capabilities to interpret scripts and at times even script to automate redundant activities. It is must to have Java development experience with Unix/Linux background.
• Good data collection/analysis/compilation/data comparison/data presentation skills.
• Understanding of any version management tool like SVN, VSS etc.
• Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
• Ability to apply technical knowledge and experiences to facilitate the resolution of various technical issues. Does not have to solve them alone, but must be able to lead a group of SMEs from different disciplines in order to arrive at a solution
• Strong interpersonal skills – including verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills: innovation, collaboration.
• We work in 2 shifts and its 16/7. Rotating schedule with weekends 9-5.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 70,000
Maximum: 140,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 5 years of IS/IT experience, including experience in Performance Testing. BS or equivalent in computer science or engineering.
• 3 years of experience with HP Load runner or similar load testing tools.
• 3 years of experience operating Jmeter, Jenkins, Java Virtual Machines.
• 3 years of fexperience with monitoring tools: Splunk, Appd, Grafana, Lpar2rrd.
• 4 years of experience with Unix commands and shell scripting.
• 3 years of experience of Java/J2EE technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
Operational experience with at any of the following: Oracle, Networking or Middleware, Batch processing, Informatica, Network architecture, Storage architecture, AIX, Weblogic
• Understanding of and experience in leading development efforts on the J2EE platform.
• Knowledge of Oracle technologies: Oracle 11g and PL/SQL (Query plans, AWR Reports etc.)
• Understanding of performance testing concepts (CPU Utilization, Response time, network latency, think time, etc.).

Education
Bachelor's Degree with specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
