Compensation: $98,000 - $184,900 Annual

Job Summary: As a Pediatric Psychologist, you will play a vital role in our children's hospital by providing comprehensive psychological assessments, interventions, and therapy services to pediatric patients. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and families to develop effective treatment plans and support the overall well-being of our young patients.
Responsibilities:
1.Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of pediatric patients.
2.Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for children and adolescents with a wide range of psychological disorders and developmental challenges.
3.Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
4.Collaborate closely with medical professionals, including pediatricians and other specialists, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
5.Offer counseling and support to families, providing guidance on coping strategies, behavioral management, and parenting techniques.
6.Facilitate workshops and educational sessions for parents, caregivers, and hospital staff to increase awareness and understanding of pediatric mental health.
7.Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
8.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
9.Stay current with advancements in the field of pediatric psychology through ongoing professional development, research, and training opportunities.
10.Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines related to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
1.Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
2.Completion of an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral training in pediatric psychology.
3.Current licensure as a psychologist in the state of New Jersey, or eligibility for licensure.
4.Specialization in pediatric psychology or child and adolescent psychology highly preferred.
5.Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, particularly with children and families, is strongly desired.
6.Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based treatment approaches for pediatric populations.
7.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
8.Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents.
9.Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
10.Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality.
