Form of workJob Duties Performs and supervises cardiac echo sonograms on pediatrics outpatients. Essential Functions Ability to learn new techniques. When necessary, coordinates with department to cover short staffing situations.
Ability to use all echo equipment and perform stress echos as requested. Document outpatient records accurately and efficiently. Educates patient and family about medical procedure.
Maintains patients filing system. Provides patient/family instructions and teaching. Maintains patient safety.
Reports equipment failure. Participates in research studies. Performs appropriate measurements and assessments of M-Mode and Two-Dimensional echoes'.
Able to perform appropriate measurements and assessment of TTE, Exercise Stress, Structural Heart. Presents in-service training to staff, residents, and fellows. Attends conferences.
Mentors new staff and students.SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Training/Support Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and psychosocial development of adult and pediatrics. Math/Analytical Ability to calculate test results.
