Job Description
Summary
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring the framework of necessary engineering tasks to produce quality engineered documents both for the building department as well as the fabrication prints for manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Coordinate with Operations Manager to maintain and improve current design practices
2. Coordinate with Sales to help develop and quote custom and new product designs
3. Coordinate with Order Entry and Operations Manager to develop accurate and achievable product fabrication based on the Customer’s needs
4. Supervise all Engineering staff
5. Prepare work schedules based on delivery schedule needs
6. Assign specific duties as required
7. Supervise the actions of the of all Engineering staff, other engineers and detailers
8. Provide annual employee reviews
9. Establish and implement departmental goals that are in line with company goals
10. Oversee needs of the department as required, i.e. new software, computers, etc.
11. Improve processes and policies as it pertains to the creation of the engineered documents and as it pertains to the company goals and the QSM
12. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures
13. Monitor work output of the various work stations that are involved with engineering
14. Monitor performance and implement improvements as required
15. Establish work schedules to meet company goals and meet established requirements to end customers
16. Provide technical support as needed to inside or outside customers
17. Perform other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience
- Must have a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering college
- P.E. license
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience
Travel
· This position requires minimal to no travel
Computer Skills
· Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
· Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
