Payroll/Benefits Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll/Benefits Specialist role in Greensboro, NC! This is a direct hire, fully on-site position. This role is focused on running a weekly, multi-state payroll, handling FMLA, Workers Compensation and other HR functions. We are looking for someone who has at least 2 years of experiencing fully processing payroll, has HRIS experience and doesn't mind working independently. You must have strong attention to detail, great follow up and highly organized!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and processes weekly payroll
• Process monthly and quarterly commissions
• Process new employees into payroll and job cost system
• Manage employee benefit deductions, garnishments and other employee deductions
• Monitors PTO (paid time off) requests and time cards to ensure proper time is being kept by hourly employees, maintain attendance cards.
• Monitor 401(k) enrollments and loans on a weekly basis
• Process timesheets and job cards in HRIS System
• Monitor electronic employee files in HRIS System
• Assists management and employee questions about payroll issues or concerns
• Maintain new hire administration process in HRIS
• Conduct new employee Benefit orientation which includes: reviewing plan options with new employees, processing I9’s, entering benefit elections, deductions and garnishments into HRIS
• Process, audit and approve monthly benefit invoices
• Provide back up to Receptionist

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree preferred
• At least 2 years of payroll experience
• HRIS system experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
