What You Will Accomplish Here...
As a Payroll Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a team environment to maximize productivity by supporting the Accounting team that maintains the full responsibility of the finances, budget, and accounting practices for our global business.
This position will focus on the following:
- Responsible for end-to-end payroll processes for employees across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations.
- Collect and validate employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits information, to ensure accurate payroll calculations.
- Review and reconcile payroll data, ensuring all deductions, taxes, and contributions are accurately calculated and processed.
- Collaborate with HR teams to ensure accurate and timely data transfer between the human resources management system (Dayforce) and payroll system.
- Prepare and process payroll reports, such as earnings statements, tax filings, and social security reports, in compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax laws, labor regulations, and payroll compliance requirements across various countries, ensuring timely updates to payroll processes.
- Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues related to compensation, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Assist in the implementation and testing of payroll system upgrades and enhancements.
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, HR, and Legal, to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Works with other areas of accounting to help with special projects, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- A minimum of two (2) - three (3) years of previous experience in a similar role is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- General accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements affecting payroll.
- Must have the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills are required; intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
