POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will support the Total Rewards team. This position will be responsible for processing payroll and benefit-related transactions including internal reporting, and external compliance reporting. To be successful, a candidate should have some experience in payroll processing, be able to work independently with limited supervision and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll:
- Update weekly employee transactions (New hire, rehire, and adjustments)
- Transmitting weekly payroll
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Run and Analyze ad-hoc reporting for system improvement and data accuracy
- Conducting electronic employee changes and maintenance transactions in payroll system, conducts random payroll system audits to ensure accuracy in processing
- Collaborate with HR Dept. to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee data
- Provide support for payroll and benefit related inquiries.
Benefits:
- Prepare weekly flexible spending and commuter funding reports.
- Prepare weekly 401(K) employee contributions reports.
- Run benefits related reports as needed
- Track and distribute monthly new hire Observatory Complimentary ticket cards
- Record all workers compensation incidents in the ADP Workforce OSHA Module
- Assist with management of leave of absence requests
- Assist with coordination and implementation of corporate wellness events
- Manage confidential information in a professional manner
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this position means the Payroll and Benefits Administrator can be relied upon for timely and accurate data reporting and analysis. The Payroll and Benefits Administrator communicates effectively with other members of the Total Rewards Team and prioritizes assignments. The Payroll and Benefits Administrator is curious and growth-oriented, constantly seeking to absorb knowledge and acquire experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent people skills and a true customer service orientation towards employees and managers.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet weekly transmitting deadlines.
- Absolute integrity, discretion, and sensitivity to confidential company and employee information.
- Excellent organization, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge using ADP Enhanced Time, and WorkForceNow and experience in government regulations related to FSLA, FMLA, and other State and Federal regulations a plus.
- Must be able to prioritize, multitask and operate independently and on a team in a deadline driven environment.
- Must have ability to interact with managers and employees at all levels in the organization.
- Proficient excel skills (ex: Pivot table, V-look up)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- At least 2 years payroll processing experience

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, job location, size of property where applicable, and/or certifications.
