Job DescriptionThe Payroll & Accounting Specialist has full responsibility for bi-weekly hourly payroll processing, and assists with accounting and HR administrative functions as assigned.
Payroll
- Full responsibility for bi-weekly hourly payroll processing and associated reporting
- Input and tracking of maintenance time to work orders
- Document retention
- Union dues reconciliation and transfer
- Administrator for the automated hourly time collection system
Other
- Assist with various accounting clerk duties when not processing payroll
- Assist with Various Human Resources administrative duties
- Assist with company event planning and execution
- Organized and accurate filing of records as assigned
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Some payroll experience preferred in a manufacturing and/or union environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be approachable and friendly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet processing deadlines.
- Must be able to act with integrity, professionalism and high degree of confidentiality and security of employee information.
Additional Information
The Payroll & Accounting Specialist is a salaried position. Pay range is $42k to $50k per year depending on experience and education.
