Pride Health is looking for a Patient Care Associate to join our team in Manhattan, NY!
Location: 462 1st Avenue, Bellevue Hospital Center Manhattan, NY
Shift Schedule: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Contract Length: 3 months. full-time
Pay rate: $26 - $32/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Check vital signs, weighs and measures patients, obtains specimens and record findings on patient’s chart.
- Instruct patients on how to obtain specimens for laboratory testing and performs.
- Basic specimen screening testing through dipstick and hemoccult.
- Prepare collected specimens for pick-up by labeling and preparing required form(s).
- Pick-up lab results.
- Perform vision and hearing testing and simple urinalysis.
- Administer emergency first aid, including basic life support procedures.
- Prepare examining room for examination including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Maintain, complete, processes and files patients’ charts, appropriate forms and
- documents.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of ER experience
- Certified Phlebotomist
- CPR/EKG/BLS Certification
