SalaryAdecco is seeking a part-time Yard Hand for our client in the equipment rental industry, specifically for Mondays and Fridays. The role involves cleaning and greasing machines, assisting customers with loading and unloading equipment, and performing general labor tasks such as mowing grass and other yard maintenance duties. This position is expected to continue at least through the summer.
Job Description:
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment yard.
- Conduct routine checks and inspections on rental equipment.
- Clean and prepare equipment for rental, ensuring it meets safety and operational standards.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
- Organize and maintain the yard area for efficient equipment storage and accessibility.
- Support other departments with tasks related to equipment handling and logistics.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and equipment handling guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in equipment rental, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment operations.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects and equipment (up to [weight limit]).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
