Part Time PRN Clinical or Forensic Psychologist in South Jersey

Dominion Medical Consulting is seeking a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist (PsyD or PhD) to conduct mental status evaluations for for the Social Security Administration. This is an independent contractor, 1099 position.

Examinations are low risk. No provider-patient relationship is established, and you would not be responsible for ordering any tests, medications, or follow-up. Right now, there is enough work to support about one day per week in both Northern and Southern New Jersey each. This is a great moonlighting/side-gig opportunity, but not full-time. It is in-person only at this time as well. We have availability any time 8:30-5:00 M-F (possibly on weekends, but weekday availability is preferred) You could determine your own schedule. We would handle the actual scheduling of claimants for you after you give your availability each month and provide you with a clean professional office to conduct the evaluations. The office would be equipped with Wi-Fi and a receptionist would be available to you to help manage check-ins at the front of the office.

The ideal candidate should have at least familiarity with psychological testing. The tests most frequently needed are the WAIS, WISC, WMS, and TONI. If you are interested in providing psychological testing but do not have access to testing materials we would could provide these for you. If you already have the most current testing materials then additional reimbursement could be discussed.

Work will be contracted out on an as-needed basis. Currently we could schedule up to 4+ days per month, if desired. Set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you would like. Typically, a combination of a mental status evaluation with a psychological test will be requested. This is allotted 1.5 hours and would be reimbursed $150.00. If a more comprehensive test requiring the WMS was requested, this would be allotted 2.5 hours for $250. A MSE may sometimes be requested alone, without a test, which would be allotted 45 minutes for $75.00. A typical schedule would be 5 MSE + testing evaluations in a 7.5 hour block but may fluctuate depending on weekly needs.
