Growing residential construction company looking for a proactive, capable, organized, detail-oriented person with a good attitude to support our day-to-day operations. MUST have prior experience as a bookkeeper for a construction company and must be very experienced in QB. Must be in the Eastern Standard Time zone.
Candidate will work approximately 8-12 hours per week, hours flexible, working remotely. They will perform all day to day bookkeeping functions, to include multi-company transactions and accounting, general ledger entry and tracking, and accounts payable and receivable responsibilities. Other responsibilities include:
- Performing monthly job cost reviews
- Coordinating year-end audit functions with external auditing/accounting firms and providing annual 1099 filings
- Work with outside CPA firm on tax prep
- Providing project cost analysis and monitoring cash flow
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Categorize job expenses
- Coordinate payment of subcontractors
Looking for someone with the following skills:
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Basic IT knowledge
At least two years of bookkeeper and/or finance experience with a construction company
Great organizational, communication, and problem-solving skill
Attention to detail
The ability to multitask and work independently
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
