JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Parent Coaching Program Manager, the Parent Café Coordinator will perform administrative work in the management of two funding contracts (BHS & H.S.A.) in the Family Services department. This includes, but is not limited to, overall program coordination, work prioritization and assignment, budgeting, staff supervision, and reporting as required by funding contracts. This position will coordinate with the Program Manager to assist with program data collection & reporting, community engagement, outreach, and contract compliance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's level degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Two years of relevant experience working with children and families. Experience working with volunteers is desirable. Experience and enthusiasm for working with and supporting families; especially parents/caregivers. One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Description of Duties:

Program Specific:

1. Perform administrative tasks

1. Have a solid working knowledge of all the rules, regulations, and grant requirements that apply to the Parent Café Contracts.
2. Booking Parent Café sites year-round and maintaining an active waitlist.
3. Assigning Parent Café sites to staff based on program need.
4. Creating the Parent Café Schedules per semester: Summer, Fall, & Spring.
5. Monitoring program achievements/challenges on a monthly basis.
6. Bi-weekly meetings with program manager to discuss program successes, challenges, & areas of need.
7. Support program manager in compiling data to be used to complete both monthly and quarterly reports per funding sources: H.S.A. and BHS.
8. Meet with community members & agencies as needed to establish strong collaborative relationships. This include but is not limited to: principals, parent liaisons, center directors, counselors, etc

2. Group Facilitation

1. Recruit families to participate in weekly meetings through community outreach.
2. Consistent with the curriculum, prepare and present on a relevant educational topic each week.
3. Facilitate discussion and encourage mutual self-help exchanges of suggestions, experiences, support, strengthening families and communities.
4. Engage program participants in leadership roles and encourage continued attendance.
5. Maintain files and program documentation on a daily basis and assisting with any related statistical and/or evaluation components.
