As the Paid Search Marketing Manager and channel lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our digital advertising efforts. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing all Paid Search campaigns on Google Ads and Bing Ads for the Xeris portfolio of brands, with a primary focus on maximizing conversions and ROI. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of direct experience managing Paid Search campaigns for brand portfolios in heavily regulated categories, ideally with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry. This role requires the ability to operate with excellence on a strategic and tactical level, delivering effective and efficient campaign results. A high level of collaboration is required across the Marketing team, as well as the Medical, Legal and Regulatory teams to ensure campaigns are effective and adhere to compliance guidelines. We are currently seeking a highly skilled, self-directed, and detail-oriented Paid Search Marketing Manager responsible for driving PPC strategy and execution as part of our dynamic Marketing team in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities- Proactively develop, implement, and manage Paid Search strategies and campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads platforms.
- Provide recommendations and execute keyword expansion and ad group optimization strategies, and campaign restructuring as necessary.
- Conduct keyword research, ad copy creation, and landing page optimization to ensure optimal campaign performance.
- Ensure Paid Search keywords meet Medical, Legal and Regulatory guidelines by submitting keyword lists in Veeva PromoMats for compliance review.
- Analyze campaign data, perform A/B testing, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous weekly improvement.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various ad campaigns and brands for maximum ROI.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in Paid Search advertising.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Brand, and Analytics, to align Paid Search efforts with overall business goals.
- Stay informed about pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance standards to ensure all campaigns adhere to relevant guidelines.
- Serve as the team's subject matter expert as it relates to all things Paid Search in recommending keyword, bid and campaign strategies to support given business goals.
- Actively participate in strategy and tactical meetings, bringing a strategic and thoughtful perspective to the target audience; manage and oversee cross-departmental perspectives from inception through finished product, including rounds of approval.

- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, or other relevant field of study
- A minimum of 3-5years of hands-on experience buying and managing Paid Search campaigns (not supportive role)
- At least 1 year of experience in related role in a heavily regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, financial services, or education preferred.
- Google AdWords and Bing Certified
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and translate performance metrics into actionable insights.
- Proficient in advertising technology platforms and tools including third-party bidding tools, Ad Servers, Site Analytics, Tag Management, Ad Verification, Attribution and Measurement
- Proven track record of driving results and achieving performance targets in Paid Search advertising.
- High proficiency in Google Ads and Bing Ads platforms, including hands-on experience with campaign setup, optimization, and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a great deal of autonomy.
- Strong budget management and budget reconciliation skills.
- Ability to write effective ad copy.
- Understanding and knowledge of legal and regulatory promotional review process.
- Understanding as it relates to Paid Search of FDA regulations and guidance regarding advertising and promotion of prescription drug and biologic products in pharmaceutical industry.

- Working Conditions
- Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel.
- This position is based in Xeris' Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.
