CORE Responsibilities
- Happy Campers
- Provide 24-hour support with guidance, supervision, safety, and comfort for participants during all activities.
- Lead an activity group of up to 13 campers through our outdoor adventure program featuring rock climbing, mountain biking, paddle sports, and more.
- Serve as a role model and guide campers in appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
- Stellar Programs
- Guide an overnight experience, ranging from a 1-night overnight onsite to a 5-day backpacking trip.
- Organize and participate in camp programming, ranging from outdoor sports to camp games and rituals.
- Passionate Staff
- Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs.
- Be a member of a dynamic staff team and take an active role in the evaluation of campers, programs, and staff.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age by the start of camp training.
- Wilderness First Aid and CPR by the start of camp training.
- 1+ years of experience working at a resident camp is preferred but not required.
- A valid driver's license is required for 21+ years old staff. All 21+ years old staff will go through a 2-day 15-passenger van driving training during your first week of employment.
Important Details
- Staff training: Staff training begins in early June
- Camp Dates: early June - early August. For specific dates and details on each location & program, please click here.
- Work Days: Overnight camps are a 24/7 operation. The overnight camp leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with one evening off/per week and segments of other time off throughout the week.
Compensation
- Starting rate $400/week
- This position is required one to live on the property. Room and meals are provided to you as a part of your compensation.
We use professional-caliber equipment, so campers learn how successful mountain biking, kayaking, and climbing are supposed to feel
We transport campers to authentic local recreation areas they can keep coming back to explore
We teach campers solid skills—not just the basics of adventure sports, but how to use sound judgment and problem-solving in all aspects of their lives
The campers who attend our summer day camps, overnight camps, school programs, and events come away filled with confidence, enriched with newfound skills and launched into a lifetime of empowering outdoor adventure.
