Summary
United Language Group is focused on supporting the local Latino community and looking for a bilingual resource to engage with their community members to promote the benefits of targeted healthcare plans and enrollment for potential members leading up to and during the annual enrollment period. The Outreach Specialist will work with local stakeholders and community influencers to host and attend events to help interact with the community to explain the advantages of healthcare plans, assist in navigating the enrollment process and support potential members through personal engagement and interaction. The Outreach Specialist will be trained on the targeted healthcare plans for the local community and will be responsible for helping to promote the advantages and importance of healthcare both in English and Spanish.
Essential Duties + Responsibilities
- Work with your manager, and other community stakeholders to help promote healthcare advantages to potential members and targets within the community.
- Attend agreed-upon local events to interact with people and provide promotional information for education and engagement at the event.
- Host booths at events to speak with potential members interested in obtaining information on health plans and direct them to the correct website or contact number for further support.
- Provide reports on potential members and leads for further follow-up by sales teams for additional enrollment support.
- Track interactions and engagements to measure the success of events for reporting purposes.
- Other duties as may be reasonably requested.
Education, Experience + Skills
- Associate's Degree or relevant professional working experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- An active member of the Latino community.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to offer personable and supportive in-person communication.
- Organized decision-maker with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and database programs).
