SalaryCurrently seeking an experienced Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant
Applicant must be a friendly, fast learner, multi-tasker, and work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Orthodontists’ Assistant responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain patient records and medical documentation
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Collaborate with the orthodontist to provide excellent patient care
- Clip wire
- Coronal polishing
- Take orthodontic records
- Make Essix-type retainers
- Take iTero scan
- Able to assist doctor as needed
Administrative tasks:
- Welcoming/checking in patients and processing new patient registration
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Collect payments
- Verify and process insurance claims
- Create and process contracts
- Create a positive experience for all patients
- Accounts receivable and payables
- Maintain customer files
- Answer the phone in a professional friendly manner
Skills:
- Experience with OrthoTrac software a plus.
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping
- Experience with medical imaging techniques and equipment
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
- 2-4 years previous experience working in the orthodontic field a plus
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with the orthodontist and other dental staff members
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Education:
High school diploma required
*Pay rate will be based on experience & discussed at time of interview*
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 20 – 22 per week

- Monday to Friday

- Orthodontist assisting: 2 years (Preferred)
