In this role, you have the opportunity to

Plan and organize all elements related to the acquisition and movement of materials. In this position you will perform a wide variety of tasks relating to the incoming and outgoing of materials, services, or equipment. You will also provide expertise in all aspects of materials, planning including build plans, and various MRP/ERP systems.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with production to maintain the detailed master plans in line with the product requirements and ERP
  • Manage/Track raw materials, production schedule, WIP and finished goods inventories.
  • Create and release work orders per the master build plan.
  • Monitor supplier delivery schedules to direct procurement as needed to maintain OTD to the end customer.
  • Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend/take action to ensure organization/product line optimal supply chain execution.
  • Manage schedule impact of proposed engineering change orders in addition to taking necessary actions to ensure successful implementation and execution of approved engineering product releases.
  • Work closely with the Materials Manager to evaluate product inventory planning and reporting along with detailed level actions to drive improvement and minimize Excess and Obsolete Inventory in assigned programs.
  • Be a liaison between the New Program teams and Operations for all assigned products.
  • Manage tight deadlines in a low volume, high mix, fast paced, matrixed environment.
  • Monitoring and report metrics including, on time delivery, missing allocations, and production throughput.
  • Meet deadlines to avoid material shortages and delays on assigned tasking based on the master build plan.
  • Partnering with inventory, Quality, Engineer and production to communication of changes in material demand, facilitate effective material/WIP movement, and maintain appropriate level load plan.
  • Minimize risk of exposure to excess /overstock finish goods.

 

  • Provides commitment dates and updates to Sales and Management.
  • Works with manufacturing supervisors to obtain feedback about production status.
  • Gather data to support production meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Requires minimum of 8 years’ experience in inventory control, planning and/or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough understanding MRP systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, with heavy emphasis on Excel required
  • Advanced Excel skills are Preferred.
  • Ability to read a multilevel BOM, drawings, and specifications is required
  • Familiarity with outside processing preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving techniques, and accuracy are essential
  • Excellent math and deductive skills key
  • Must be able to function well in a team or group environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, required
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize duties
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Must be able to comprehend and perform duties in accordance with an AS9100D Quality System

Additional Information

Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range:  $71,000 - $114,000 for a non-technical Individual Contributor III at Torrance CA USA.                                                                                       

                                                                                                                                               

The disclosed salary range is a general guideline for Mercury team members employed at the job level at the location listed above and does not include overtime for eligible hourly employees.
