SUMMARY
In this role you will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to operations management. Daily tasks will vary by department and will include, but will not be limited to, reporting and email communications, trailer closures, merchandise reconciliation, daily follow ups regarding escalated issues as well providing updates to the department operations manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively communicate issues/status updates to the client upon managers request.
- Administering in-bound/out-bound receipts, records, and associated paperwork including BOLs, Purchase Order, Packing slip, etc.
- Meet all client specified KPI's, and comply with system requirements.
- Assist with project(s) progress to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional, discreet and secure manner.
- Prepare FedEx shipping labels for outgoing orders.
- Properly process and handle hazmat shipments.
- Request replenishment of supplies as needed.
- Observe safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe and unsecure conditions.
- Ensure urgent and priority matters are communicated in a timely and effective manner.
- Prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters proactively and efficiently.
- Navigate portals such as Cargowrite, Blue Yonder and FedEx Management System.
- Responsible for the up keep of records and adhering to record retention policy
OTHER DUTIES
- Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- May be expected to cross train in other administrative staff functions to support the site.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent research and follow-up skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and detail oriented mindset
- Ability to preform a variety of tasks under limited supervision
- Mathematical Skills- intermediate
- Ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations, manages change and pressure well, tackles problems with enthusiasm, and maintains a safety first mindset at all times
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience working in logistics/distribution environment
- 1 year clerical/data entry experience
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with WMS and/or RF/RFID a plus
Language Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
