Actively support the Office of Program Coordination (OPC) Lead by sharing the operational work load. OPC supports the Program Coordination Branch (PCB) chiefby ensuring efficient task execution and effective information sharing throughout the Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS). OPC Deputy Lead will work alongside the OPC Lead, providing day-to-day management and leadership assistance; acting for the OPC Lead during the Lead's absence or at the Lead's direction.
Duties: Help the OPC Lead to manage the facilitation of Division communication
o External
Crafting message strategy and preparing responses to media inquiries and other requests for information.
Ensuring communications and information products are accurate, complete, timely, clear, and consistent.
Ensuring appropriate clearance of external communication.
Working with all Division teams to ensure deadlines for communications responses are met.
o Internal
Maintaining effective communication ofinformation and task status between OD and Division staff.
Meeting Branch Chief and OD information requirements.
Assist the OPC Lead in task management to track receipt, assignment, status, and completion of all DSNS tasks, staying current and involved in all actions and projects.
Help the OPC Lead in managing status reports:
o To keep PCB Chief and OD informed of tasks and actions progress.
o By gathering information and providing weekly status report ofDivision activities to OD and the Coordinating Office ofTerrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response (COTPER).
Assist the OPC Lead in coordination of media activities with COTPER and CDC Office of Communications.
Assist the OPC Lead in the development ofmultiple DSNS video products through coordination with audio visual partners
Help the OPC Lead in the oversight ofpolicy analysis, coordination, preparation, and publication. Assist in the enforcement ofpolicies and standards.
Assist the OPC Lead in the production ofpresentations for OD; editing and approving the final products of external presentations for OD.
e Deliver DSNS presentations on behalf of the OPC Lead to internal and external audiences.
Assist the OPC Lead to participate in planning activities by:
o Providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
o Leading planning groups.
Help the OPC Lead to manage the implementation and maintenance of historical record keeping for DSNS.
Assist the OPC Lead in directing the coordination of monthly DSNS All Hands meetings which provide a forum for employee recognition, dissemination of Division information, and encouragement ofDSNS camaraderie and spirit.
