Job Overview:
We are a successful financial planning firm seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The Office Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing phone systems, and assisting with various clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Word and Excel. Customer service skills and experience in an administrative roll are a plus. Our preferred working hours for this job would be 5 hours per day from 9am-2pm for a minimum of 3 days per work week.
Duties:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with managing office calendars and scheduling appointments
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and data entry
- Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness, sending various documents to new clients.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining office files and records
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers and printers
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
