Occasional Pet Sitter (overnight in client's homes)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Pet Sitter to join our team. As a Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to pets while their owners are away. This includes feeding, exercising, and ensuring their overall well-being. If you have a passion for animals and enjoy working independently, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent pet care in accordance with the specific needs of each animal
- Feed, water, and administer medication as instructed by pet owners
- Walk dogs and engage in playtime activities to ensure they receive proper exercise
- Clean litter boxes, cages, and other pet areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the owner or veterinarian
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding routines, training, and behavior management
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities including feeding schedules, medication administration, and any notable observations

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pet sitting or animal care preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and basic pet care techniques
- Ability to handle animals with patience, compassion, and confidence
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting (e.g., bags of pet food) and perform tasks that require physical exertion
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures and basic first aid for pets is a plus
- Experience in dog handling, equine care, or dog training is an asset
