This position is an important and compassionate function of the Waupaca County Department of Health and Human Services. The Nutrition Site Manager supports the aging community in Waupaca County by coordinating the Elderly Nutrition Program within a specific community of the county.
This genuine and energetic person receives direct support and guidance from the Aging Programs Supervisor.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE:
This position's schedule will be approximately 16 hours/wk. Monday - Thursday.
Ensure senior's basic nutritional needs are met by ordering daily meals from community catering partners and maintaining an inventory of supplies from vendors.
Engage homebound seniors and provide daily coordination, packaging, and delivery of home delivered meals.
Play an important role in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of Waupaca County seniors by maintaining daily food safety and sanitation measures in the necessary workspaces of the Elderly Nutrition Program.
To comply with state and local requirements and to provide meaningful information about the population of people that are being served, the Nutrition Site Manager will keep detailed record of those persons who dine at the senior meal sites, as well as those who receive home delivered meal services.
Responsible for igniting passion in others to volunteer as part of an essential community resource for both senior dining and home delivered meal services.
Collaborate with coworkers and volunteers on innovative ways to encourage increased interest and participation in the Elderly Nutrition Program.
Be an active participant in team collaboration meetings and transformational trainings as directed.
Be friendly and welcoming to seniors; listening to concerns and problems they may have in an effort to better understand their needs and offer community resources and services that may be of assistance to them.
Empower seniors by providing information about the Elderly Nutrition Program such as: funding sources that support the program, the donation-based contribution system, and other program advantages.
Maintain agency confidentiality at all times.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE: Passion and desire to work with the aging population. Prior leadership or supervisory background in food service preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and have available access to transportation to perform responsibilities of the position.
Ability and passion for working well with older individuals and other populations served by the Elderly Nutrition Program.
Working knowledge of current professional office practices and procedures including knowledge of computers.
Compassionate customer care with emphasis on building rapport and relationships.
Strong organizational skills that lend to the overall workflow process at the Senior Dining Site.
Takes direction and consultation willingly as a means of constant personal and professional improvement.
Communicates concerns, accomplishments and other important information thoroughly with the Supervisor and team members.
Ability to establish and maintain meaningful and respectful working relationships.
