We are a distinguished healthcare organization seeking a passionate and experienced Nursing Department Manager to lead our Level III NICU at a prominent medical center in Downey.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Nursing Department Manager for the NICU, you will be instrumental in managing the delivery of nursing services and ensuring safe patient care. This includes overseeing the NICU, Pediatric Unit, and PICU as needed. Collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices and services.
Essential Requirements:
- California RN license
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- NRP certification
- RNC-NIC certification
- BSN or MSN
- Minimum 5 years of FT equivalent Level III NICU RN experience (current or very recent)
- Minimum 3 years of FT equivalent Level III NICU Manager or Supervisor experience (current or very recent)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- MSN
- Management experience in a union environment
Position Highlights:
This position involves managing a Level III NICU at a Magnet recognized medical center. The facility is CCS designated, one of three tertiary Southern California facilities. With 49 NICU beds, an average census of 30+, and approximately 141 NICU employees, you will be part of a leadership team overseeing the NICU department.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary range: USD $148,800 – $192,500 / yr
- Sign-on bonus eligible (10% of annual salary)
- Additional potential for up to a 15% bonus based on annual salary and medical center performance
Other Details:
- Full-time, Onsite position
- No relocation available
- This is a backfill position with direct reports
- Work hours are primarily 11 am - 8 pm
