WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are now looking for a senior accountant, with a strong accounting background and a passion for the brand, to take NIKE's direct-to-consumer businesses to the next level.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be a key player in Nike's North America Order to Cash Controlling team - focused primarily on the direct to consumer business.. You will be a subject matter expert in Nike's order to cash account systems including SAP S4, CAR & Blackline. You will work with controlling & technology teams to identify, analyze and implement solutions in the Nike Direct system landscape. You will drive continuous improvement in the current system landscape as well as develop improvements for new business requirements. Some other things you will work on include:
- Execute accounting processes and maintain effective internal controls for NIKE's newest business models, including evaluating technical accounting considerations of sophisticated arrangements in accordance with US GAAP and NIKE Accounting Policy
- Actively engage with key business partners to evaluate NIKE's newest business model proposals, provide accounting system requirements and inputs to the design, test prior to launch, and operationalize upon go-live
- Perform period close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analytic reviews
- Serve as a subject matter expert of the Blackline cash matching tool to reconcile retail sales and cash receipts
- Identify financial statement risks through independent research and engage with technology business partners to develop solutions
- Prepare monthly supporting schedules for the organization, as well as quarterly reporting schedules for external reporting

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years minimum of experience in accounting or related functions
- Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Experience with SAP is preferred
- Experience with accounting for sophisticated revenue recognition arrangements is a plus
- Curiosity about development and troubleshooting of accounting and source systems
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks to leadership
- Strong project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to seek information and problem solve
- Ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions, preferably inclusive of navigating a large corporation
- Standout "can do" demeanor and passion to drive and innovate processes
