Member Duties : NHC members complete 1,700 hours of service over 42-46 weeks. Most member service activities take place at their host sites. Members' host site service activities include COVID-19 response, care coordination, Community Health work, digital health navigation, medical interpretation, and related activities such as case management, health education, outreach coordination, and patient navigation. NHC members will produce significant and unique contributions to host sites' existing efforts to improve health outcomes in underserved communities by engaging in activities that confront Community Health needs. Members are assigned a host site supervisor and participate in ongoing professional development, team-building, and additional outside/group service activities through their NHC program.
