The New Grad RN Residency Program is a paid internship program for new graduates to receive hands-on acute care nursing experience in 12-17 months. Sign on bonus offered!!
Shift Times: Days & Nights
Salary Range: $33/hr
- To be considered for a higher rate, candidates need to have prior experience as an an LVN, RN (LTAC, HOME HEALTH, ETC) as long as the candidate does not have acute care experience.
(Shift Differentials: $4.00/Nights & $2.00/Weekends)
The Residency Program provides you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. This paid program will assist you with the transition out of the classroom setting through a formalized series of learning experiences, including:
What will you do in this role:
- Shadow and work with a trained mentor for roles in the Registered Nurse role.
- Attend regular meetings between resident, trainer, and/or their Director
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications. Monitor patient for therapeutic response. Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response to medication.
- Perform exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
After completion of internship, the individual will transition into full-time employment at facility and will be asked to sign a two year commitment with facility.
What qualifications you will need:
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) by start date
- Passed NCLEX results by start date
- No prior experience working as RN in an acute care hospital
- Flexible scheduling - be able to work day or night
- No experience required
