Responsibilities:
- Assess and effectively improve the overall wellbeing of patients with neurological disorders through regimented and meaningful physical exercise, assisted stretching, myofascial release, and various other modalities.
-General Understanding of neurological diagnoses such as Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, TBI, Parkinson's, MS, CP, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Paralysis (or willing to learn)
- Understand comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement exercise plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Make health, wellness, and lifestyle recommendations and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
- Understand modalities and procedures such as gait training, locomotor training, electroencephalograms (EEGs), and nerve conduction studies (or willing to learn)
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of Neurological Rehabilitation through continuing education and professional development
Requirements:
- Exercise Science, Medical, Health Care, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Neurological Rehabilitation, Anatomy, Longevity, Wellness, Well-Being degree/knowledge from an accredited school
- Holistic outlook & approach to health and wellness
- Additional Certifications (CSCS, NASM, ACT) huge plus
- Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to interpret test results accurately
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions in a timely manner (think on the fly)
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality
