Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and maintain ARNet consisting of Virtual Private Network (VPN) circuits, wide area network (WAN), campus area network (CAN), and local area network (LAN) equipment and interconnections for approximately 700 sites
• Operate and maintain network monitoring/management platforms and tools for ARNet and SARNet infrastructure
• Provide for segmented transport for specialty traffic by use of Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) tunnels and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN)
• Monitor ARNet and SARNet 24x7x365 in a combined Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) located at HQ USARC
• Assist with the network data plan
• Demonstrate the ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management
• Plan, direct and manage Network Center IT projects/operations
• Demonstrated successful working knowledge and supervision of employees of various labor categories and skills in efforts similar in size and scope
• Provide management and oversight of industry accepted standards and best practices related to Network operations
• Provide management and oversight of network and system security requirements.
• Provide management and oversight of networking and network-based software applications.
• Maintain network hardware and software; monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Agency Internet Network (AIN), Intranet and Internet, and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system
• Clearance Level - Secret
• Must have Security+CE
• Active CCNP Certification
• ITIL Certification - V4 preferred

Overview

We are seeking a Network Operations Manager to join our team supporting USARC C4IM /ITES-3S-385538 in Fort Bragg, NC.

United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) G-6 owns and operates Army Reserve Network (ARNet) and Secure Army Reserve Network (SARNet) to provide continuous secure and nonsecure data, voice, and video transport, data center services, hosted applications, file services, collaboration tools, cybersecurity, remote access, continuity of operations, and customer service across the USAR enterprise IAW Army Regulation (AR) 25-1 Army Information Technology and other governing documents and outlined in the Army's Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management (C4IM) Services List. These services are provided to 65,000 users with network accounts at approximately 700 locations, primarily in the continental United States with a few in Puerto Rico, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific region. Contractor shall provide design, configuration, installation, implementation, testing, connectivity, monitoring, operations and maintenance, detection of cybersecurity malicious attacks, risk analysis, remote and onsite touch labor and/or replacement, enterprise architecture, security architecture, project management, change management, administrative and technical services, lifecycle management (excluding procurement and leasing of software and hardware), asset and license management, and logistics services for hardware, software, and firmware integral to ARNet.
