The Position: Operations Associate (Purchasing/Warehouse)

We are seeking the perfect candidate to help an environmental services company focus on getting out their crews on time and with the right gear; someone to ensure the seamless day-to-day operations for the team! The right candidate will be responsible for communicating between management and the field staff, as well as tracking supplies, inventory, and procurement. Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply!

Compensation: $55-65K (salary) + Bonus

Location: Bridgewater, NJ (on-site)

Responsibilities:

• Collects information needed for project managers to properly bid on jobs (pricing and availability of job materials, rentals, and subcontractors)
• Ensures employees have needed equipment, PPE, and paperwork for the complete workday
• Procures all job, shop, and auto products needed for the day-to-day operations
• Oversees field crews punch in/punch out times on the proper forms
• Provides timely feedback via email to VP Operations on employees’ performance
• Tracks receiving and returning of all rentals, updates rental tracking, approves all rental/subcontractor invoices
• Tracks rental/subcontractor costs, confirms all rentals/subcontractors are billed on the client invoice
• Helps define Job Costing
• Provides recommendations monthly to the Chief of Staff on Job Costing efficiencies
• Provides subcontractor and vendor invoices for job costing analysis
• Assists in the review of monthly charges by the field staff
• Coordinates sonic and heavy equipment mobilizations
• Ensures truck assignments are provided and abided by
• Issues, assigns and procures tools and small equipment, material sign-out (tracking included)
• Provides Shop Orientation for new hires during their onboarding process
• Manages the companies approved vendor list including deactivating old vendors
• Negotiate pricing with vendors monthly
• Creates all purchase orders with accurate information within 24 hours of ordering products
• Sends final purchase orders to vendors via email, mail, or fax
• Gathers packing slips and delivering them to the procurement administrator within 24 hours of receiving products
• Negotiates all company rentals/subcontractors
• Updates vehicle listing as needed
• Addresses all building issues and works with management to rectify
• Orders building-specific supplies
• Ensures the tidiness of the warehouse and yard
• Works with Management to utilize and direct employees to maintain the exterior and interior of the building and property

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates must be highly proficient with multiple aspects of data and computing
• Minimum five years of experience as a Operations Manager for a construction or services company- to include military time (highly preferred)
• Minimum two years of experience with Cost management (highly preferred)
• CDL preferred (or willingness to get a class A)
