In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
- Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
- In good disciplinary standing.
- Must be located in the U.S.

Objective:
To provide the MB/M Dept. with administrative assistance via event promotion support, research for faculty, record keeping, and maintenance of the Resource Center, and ad hoc projects.

- Applicants must be declared Music Business/Management major and at least be in the major for one year with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Be in compliance with Berklee's S.A.P. criteria (satisfactory academic progress)

Objective:
To provide the MB/M Dept. with administrative assistance via event promotion support, research for faculty, recordkeeping, and maintenance of the Resource Center, and ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Berklee Music Business social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channel and responsible for content creation and audience engagement
- Creating and sending out monthly department newsletter by using Mailchimp (example)
- Promotion and logistical support for departmental events, including flyer creation and distribution, event set up/clean up, and serving as campus ambassador for guest speakers
- Coordination and organization of the MB/M periodical database and primary ownership of maintaining a neat and secure MB/M Resource Center (Room 232, 7 Haviland St.)
- General reception and administrative tasks for the department, including answering the phone, photocopying, filing, distributing mail, copyediting, and updating department records and bulletin boards
- Frontline communication with students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and guest speakers by email, phone, zoom meeting, and in person
- Preparation of class materials, resources, and/or presentations for MB/M faculty/staff
- Peer tutoring and peer-to-peer advising when applicable
Core Competencies:
- Experience with Mailchimp, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, or other graphic design applications
- Fluency in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) is a must and it is preferred that candidates have a background in video placement for multi-channel networks and content-monetization
- Photography, videography, and photo/video editing experience is a plus
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with music industry websites and events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required and students must be personable, responsible, and have a high commitment to confidentiality
