Position Summary:
The Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist delivers high quality MRI, CT, and X-Ray exams to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs independently MRI, CT, and X-Ray procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Operates with limited supervision while maintaining high attention to detail, customer needs, and high reliability. Aids medical staff with additional imaging procedures to support splinting/reductions, IV starts and immobilizing/mobilizing trauma patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent, and documented competency in both CT and MRI
+ Montana Licensure (Radiologic Technologist)
+ American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification - CT & MRI
+ American Heart Association BLS
+ 2 years of radiology experience in accredited school
+ Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's degree in health care related studies
+ Preferred: 2 years post graduate experience CT or MRI
Essential Job Functions:
+ Performs quality MRI, CT, and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams and procedures as requested by medical staff. Operate independently, with limited supervision, while maintaining high attention to detail, customer needs, and high reliability.
+ Assists medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures. Including splinting/reductions, IV starts, and immobilizing/mobilizing trauma patients.
+ Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
+ Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
+ Retrieves written orders and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of MRI exams and procedures
+ Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
+ Develops and amends department protocols and scanning parameters for safe and quality delivery in CT and MRI.
