Job Description
Collaborating with Lab staff on stories, event coverage, and other internally generated initiatives that require photos, video or other multimedia. Fulfilling those requirements with high-quality work on time.
- Creating original ideas that meet the Lab’s mission and seeing them through approval, planning, production and completion.
- Working closely with partners to clearly define their needs and then fulfilling requests with highquality content on time and within budget.
- Helping with special projects and backing up others in the multimedia department as needed.
- Will need to stay current on new and advancing forms of media.
- Strong working knowledge of video production, editing and photography software is necessary.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in multimedia design, art or graphic design Will consider equivalent professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Must have minimum of 2 or more years’ experience working on deadline-oriented still photography and video productions, preferably in a journalism and/or a public relations environment.
Video skills should include video production and post-production skills. This includes:
-Hands-on filming, lighting, audio and color adjusting, editing, and exporting.
Photo skills should include:
-Color correction and other post-production.
-Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere. Other equivalent editing software will be considered.
-Must have a minimum of 2 years of using a system to organize scheduling/production
- Must have ability to demonstrate this knowledge.
-Must be willing to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
