Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician – Modesto, CA - Immediate Openings (2nd and 3rd shift only)

This position is for 2nd and 3rd shift and offers a competitive benefits package with starting hourly rate of $33.00/hr. (Orientation and training will be on 1st shift)

  • 2nd/swing shift is 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
  • 3rd/grave shift is 11:00 pm-7:00 am

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Troubleshooting mechanical problems, repair and maintain all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Helping to meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
  • Installing and repairing mechanical components, welding, and fabrication of materials
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical, basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (16) hours a day
  • Willing and able to work in high and/or confined spaces
  • Understand knowledge and safe work practices involving mechanical machinery and lock out tag out processes

The following includes both mechanical and electrical activities, however General Maintenance Technicians will focus on the mechanical aspects and support electrical depending upon skills and knowledge:

  • Troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems and repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities
  • Troubleshooting and repairing automated systems with remote technical support

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • One or more years or more of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment
  • One (1) year or more of experience of mechanical troubleshooting
  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience in mechanical fabrication and repair, replacing components
  • Experience in fast-paced troubleshooting to repair equipment efficiently with electrical or mechanical issues

What Will Put You Ahead

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Electrical Certification, Industrial Maintenance Technician Certification, technical schooling earned or other related educational certifications/degrees
  • Experience with conveyers, pushers, industrial machinery, corrugated operations, ink printing machinery, and boilers
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing components on machinery and or wiring
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • One (1) year or more of experience in a corrugated manufacturing facility
