Successful candidate will be responsible for the prudent underwriting of mortgage loan requests to an authorized lending limit in accordance with company and investor guidelines and for the completion and submission of the government and credit union reports. Duties include underwriting loans, including pre-qualification, pre-approvals, loan approvals, denials and counter offers. Responsible for clearing underwriting conditions prior to closing.
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have at least two years experience as an Underwriter. Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills and accuracy are required. Must be customer satisfaction oriented. Knowledge of mortgage software and an understanding of state and federal loan regulations is preferred.
Position is located in New York.
